$500- was donated to Juvenile Diabetes Canada on behalf of the evening’s Guest Speaker – Steeped Tea founder, Tonia Jahshan
On October 14 we had the final official meeting.
Here are the highlights:
Any remaining funds, after all WBW expenses have been paid will be given to Bow Valley College, Strathmore, to be used towards the cost of presentation on a business-related topic.
We will transfer the KIVA credits to Sacred Heart Academy for use by one of the classes in their social studies program; WBW currently has $106.15 in credits and $56.10 outstanding.
Disposing of WBW supplies:
Remaining miscellaneous supplies including bags, wrap, and name tags will be donated to Hope Bridges for use in their programs, and the lanyards to be donated to the Chestermere Area Networking group.
The data projector and screen will be donated to Shady Lane Productions in support of a new/young entrepreneur in the community.
WBW written materials that were previously publicly released over the last ten years and which tell the story of WBW, to be donated to the Alberta Women’s Memory Project.
Every second Tuesday of the month, anyone who is interested in meeting to share in fellowship with other entrepreneurs is welcome to come to Kim’s at 9:00 for breakfast; there will be no formal agenda and no meeting reminders will be sent out
Our web hosting ends on November 7, 2014 as of that date the Wheatland Business Women website will be taken down.
