Marcy Field’s background is in Management, Marketing and Communications. She brings 25 years of experience in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Marcy began her career in public relations working for the federal government, moving on to commercial real estate development. She worked for 5 years as an Office Administrator in the not-for-profit sector before returning to commercial real estate development. While working as a Marketing Director in the shopping centre industry, Marcy returned to university as an adult learner. In 2003 Marcy started her business, Mountain Lion Leadership Inc. and since that time has worked with retailers, the manufacturing sector, on projects for the provincial government, the utilities and oil and gas sectors. Marcy is actively involved in her local District Chamber and is working to create opportunities that assist businesses in their growth and development. She also volunteers with Alberta Culture and Community Spirit as a Board Development Instructor sharing her knowledge of governance. She is active with Wheatland Business Women and is passionate about seeing opportunities created for personal and professional development for rural women. She is married with four adult children in their blended family who have enlarged her life with four distinctively individual grandsons. A motorcycle enthusiast, active gardener, and avid traveller, Marcy is enjoying this time in her life. |
